| We are happy to announce that Lorraine Morin is the new managing editor of moviepicks. Lorraine brings her experience as a mom of eight children and grandmother of six grandchildren along with a love for really good uplifting movies. She recently returned to school and completed her degree with a double major in History of the Family and Family and Home Living. One of her projects was to help families find uplifting movies which fits perfectly with the mission of CAMIE AWARDS and moviepicks. Lorraine and her husband Ed then became in involved with CAMIE AWARDS, being a significant part of the selection of this year's CAMIE winning movies. "I think we should look for the best in the world rather than the worst, particularly when it comes to movies," Lorraine says. "The CAMIE AWARDS and moviepicks are a perfect fit for me." <>p<> With the good start moviepicks has made in reviewing wholesome movies including some that are older, Lorraine is anxious to build up our data base with more of the uplifting classics, saying, "We would love to know about your old favorite movies, especially those that show the best qualities of people who will serve as good examples and role models for kids of all ages--which includes all of us." "If you love uplifting movies and want to help us write reviews, I would love to hear from you," Lorraine adds. Keep in mind that we only review and post movies that are uplifting and wholesome. We don't try to review every movie that comes out or that has been produced in the past. Our criteria is very high. But there are some wonderful old movies out there that are not yet on moviepicks, which we would love to help people know about. So, if you have one of these favorites, let us know. We are especially looking for stories about true events, Lorraine says, adding that one of her sons said there is something special about watching stories that really happened, real history. So, would you like the satisfaction of seeing your movie reviews on moviepicks, a nationally acclaimed movie recommendation site? You can make a difference by helping people everywhere know about motion pictures that are fun to watch as well as providing positive role modeling for kids as well as grownups. If you would like to be a volunteer reviewer for moviepicks? tell us why in an email sent to moviepicks.best@gmail.com along with your qualifications. read more |
