Although this story about alcoholism isn't for young kids, teens, pre-teens, and everyone else should see this stirring true story about Lois and Bill Wilson played perfectly by Winona Ryder and Barry Pepper.

This gripping story shows what alcohol can do to a person and everyone in his or her life, especially one's spouse. Lois Wilson, a faithful and devoted wife of a hopeless alcoholic is more forgiving and loving than anyone would expect as her husband, Bill repeatedly goes back on promises to quit drinking. The story begins in 1919 and continues through the great depression which multiplies problems for the Wilsons and everyone else.

This is another film classic from Hallmark Hall of Fame, CAMIE winning director, John Kent Harrison, and CAMIE winning writer, Camille Thomasson. Anyone who has ever had a problem with alcohol, personally or with a family member or friend, should see this film. But for many reasons, so should those who have not experienced the grief brought on by addiction to alcohol or anything else.
